There are some places that become more than a weekly stop.
For years, the Pacific Palisades Farmers Market has been a Sunday tradition, a place to fill a basket with fresh produce, run into neighbors, catch up with a favorite farmer and begin the week surrounded by the familiar rhythm of community.
This August, we are incredibly grateful to begin gathering again.
On Wednesday, August 19, the Pacific Palisades Farmers Market will return in a new capacity at Swarthmore at Palisades Village, welcoming the community from 1:30-5:30 PM on Wednesdays.
It isn’t quite our traditional Sunday market just yet.
But it is a beginning…
A Different Market for This Moment
We have always believed that farmers markets are about much more than groceries.
They create connections between farmers and the people they feed. They give small businesses a place to grow. They create weekly rituals and spontaneous conversations. And, perhaps most importantly, they give a community a place to simply be together.
That’s why bringing a farmers market back to Pacific Palisades feels especially meaningful.
For now, our Wednesday market at Palisades Village gives us an opportunity to begin rebuilding that familiar gathering place while continuing to work toward what comes next.
We are incredibly appreciative of Palisades Village and Caruso for providing a place where farmers, vendors and neighbors can begin coming together again.
Bringing Familiar Farmers Back to the Palisades
Behind the scenes, our team has been doing what farmers market teams do best, calling farmers, reaching out to longtime vendors, coordinating schedules and doing everything we can to bring as many Palisades favorites back to the community as possible.
And we’re still building.
For opening day, shoppers can expect a wonderful mix of California agriculture and market staples, with farmers and producers bringing everything from seasonal fruits and vegetables, avocados and citrus to fresh herbs, mushrooms, eggs, chicken, flowers, orchids and more.
Among the farmers and producers currently expected to join us are:
Pedro’s Organic Avocado Ranch
AZ Ranch
Lily’s Eggs
Rob & Isa Floral
Frecker Farms
C&L Farms / JM Produce
Chickenhood
Funghi Valley
G Farms
Kepner / Maust Farms
Divine Décor
And this is only a sneak peek…
Our team will continue working right up to opening day and beyond to thoughtfully grow the market and welcome back more of the farmers, food makers and familiar faces the Palisades community knows and loves.
Come Help Us Gather Again
A farmers market is ultimately built by the people who show up for it.
The farmers bring what they’ve grown. Vendors bring what they’ve made. And the community brings the energy that turns a collection of tents into a neighborhood gathering place.
So on August 19, bring your market bag.
Come pick out tomatoes for dinner. Grab fresh fruit for the week. Take home a bunch of flowers. Say hello to a farmer you remember, or meet someone new.
Most of all, come spend a little time together.
This isn’t simply about recreating what was.
It’s about beginning again, supporting the farmers and small businesses who are ready to return, and creating a place where the Pacific Palisades community can reconnect one Wednesday at a time.
