From ASMR Curiosity to a Growing Business
Amber’s journey into the world of slime began with an interest in ASMR videos featuring soap cutting and slime textures. Inspired by the satisfying sensory experience these videos created, she began experimenting with her own content and eventually launched an Etsy shop selling pre-cut soaps so others could enjoy that same hands-on experience.
As her creativity continued to grow, Amber expanded into slime, developing her own textures, colors, and mix-ins that quickly became popular with customers looking for something playful and interactive.
What started as a creative outlet soon grew into Sparklez Slimez, a small business centered around bringing those sensory experiences to life in person.
A Booth That Invites You to Create
At the heart of Amber’s booth is her Make-Your-Own Slime Station, where visitors can customize their slime with different colors, scents, and mix-ins. The setup invites guests to get creative and experiment with their own combinations, turning a simple product into a fun interactive activity.
In addition to slime, Amber also designs a variety of tactile sensory items, including:

Amber loves constantly trying new ideas and introducing products that customers haven’t seen before. Her newest charm-filled rubix cubes add both visual and tactile elements, allowing people, including those who are visually impaired, to enjoy the sensory experience through touch and movement.

Being part of the farmers market has been an important part of Amber’s journey as a small business owner. The markets provide a place where she can connect directly with customers and build relationships week after week.
One of her favorite moments is stepping back from the booth and seeing familiar faces return, some of the same customers who first discovered Sparklez Slimez when it began! Hearing that visitors look forward to coming back to the booth each week is a reminder of how meaningful those small moments of joy can be.
Behind the scenes, running a creative business means balancing production, organization, social media, and the many details that go into maintaining a small business. But for Amber, the ability to pursue something she truly enjoys makes it all worthwhile.
Following a Creative Path
Before starting Sparklez Slimez, Amber worked in law and real estate, careers very different from the colorful sensory creations she makes today. But discovering her love for creating eventually led her to build a business that reflects her own interests and creativity.
When she’s not at the markets, Amber enjoys spending time with her rescue pets, three dogs and three cats, who she affectionately calls her “babies.”
